Attackers breached ConnectWise, compromised customer ScreenConnect instances

ConnectWise disclosed that a sophisticated threat actor breached its systems, compromising ScreenConnect cloud instances for a small number of customers. The attack exploited CVE-2025-3935, a critical ViewState deserialization vulnerability in ScreenConnect versions 25.2.3 and earlier, enabling remote code execution. ConnectWise patched the flaw on April 24 and reports no further suspicious activity since.
