Over the past few years we have had several high profile exhibits and events where controlling the number of tickets sold was vitally important. So, while Yapsody gives us the ability to sell tickets online, its real value is giving us an up to the minute total as to the number of tickets sold. Given the great online settings, we can quickly close ticket sales from a desktop or even a phone. We used this for the Anne Frank House exhibit, Shakespeare’s First Folio and the Franklin Expedition exhibit from the Royal Ontario Museum. But, the best example was last year for the opening of our Justin Bieber exhibit Steps to Stardom. We had no idea that the opening would be so popular, but weeks in advance, we noticed that ticket sales were through the roof and we closed off sales. On the opening weekend we had patrons from the UK, France as well as all over Canada and the United States. We had to limit the number of people in the exhibit at anyone time. My favorite part about Yapsody is they provide lots of great features, including how easy it is for people to buy tickets (Singles anyway). How easy it is to see a summary of the ticket sales for the events. The export features of customer information is awesome! The scanning app is amazing as well... and very easy to give limited access to our volunteers who have found it easy to use the app. Yapsody helped me resolve the biggest challenge I had in the past that the fees were really expensive to others but this is our first experience selling tickets and overall has been a good experience. Yapsody’s reporting is easy and the feature to download ticket holder information is great as we transfer that to Mailchimp and allows us to market our current base of customers about our upcoming movies. Yapsody’s Customer Support was VERY much helpful to facilitate our event ticketing needs and they helped us to get the non-profit discount and was easy to do. Without Yapsody we could not pre-sell our tickets. We were not able to determine how many tickets we would sell and d...idn\’t know how much food to prepare. With Yapsody we can sell our tickets online and we do not have to host a physical box office.
